Objective and Structure of the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board U.P.
To bring qualitative improvement in the standard of living of the workers engaged
in building and other construction works, the Building and Construction (Regulation
of Planning and Service Conditions) Act, 1996, and the Building and Other
Construction Workers Welfare Cess Act were implemented by the Government of India.
On February 04, 2009, the State Government promulgated the Uttar Pradesh Building
and Construction (Regulation of Planning and Service Conditions) Rules and
constituted the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
